Finally my throat doesn't feel like something dead is lodged in there. *shudders* I got a cold on Wednesday and for some reason I just ~knew~ that it was strep. Because I just ~know~ I have strep every time I get a cold and never do, because I'm paranoid about getting strep due to that one time I had it for like a month. ( Me being embarrassing )
Also while I was sick I wrote a thing! Because I am much more productive when I am sleep deprived. Here is a link to it on ao3:

as is the thought of lil middle school Blaine being into Bandom/fueled by ramen/decaydance bands and totally shopping at hot topic and his BFF who he met through fandom Kurt is horrified because god at least band shirts with classy blazers or something n Blaine's like dont act all classy at me i know you have like five tattoos and a lip piercing planned out and kurt's like well you want a nose piercing and wear a hello kitty beanie and blaine's all but it hides the curls and kurt just blinks at him because he has a crush on a boy wearing a hello kitty beanie help and then blaine tries to dye his hair in the sink and fucks it up horribly and Kurt is horrified and mr. Anderson is even more horrified and thus the dalton blazer happens. And they never go to warped the end.

The thing about dreamwidth is that it is not tumblr. That means I cannot simply post, "everytime someone writes touch-starved!Dirk Strider a little winged pony flies down from the sky gives a crying person all the mad shooshpaps" with feeling like I also have to post about why I have not posted in weeks and how I am doing on my fanfic and whether I saw the latest episode of Glee and all the jazz.
But really all I want to say is EVERYTIME SOMEONE WRITES TOUCH-STARVED!DIRK STRIDER A LITTLE WINGED PONY FLIES DOWN FROM THE SKY GIVES A CRYING PERSON ALL THE MAD SHOOSHPAPS so yeah I said it it's great.
Also "Dance or Die" by Janelle Monae is such an alpha kids song ALSO Jade Harley/Mercedes Jones is such a perfect thing and imagine KURT MEETING KANAYA?? Like they're both so similar aside from both loving fashion they also like nurturing people but are not afraid to say HEY YOU ARE BEING A DUMBASS PLEASE PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER. I could see them putting together cheese trays together for people they love. They are also SO SILLY UNDERNEATH ALL OF THEIR SERIOUSNESS like what a pair of goofs.

It turns out that I do not post on days that I have to work. I also do not post on days when I have to gather together a shitton of school stuff that needs to be in the database in California before Saturday or I might not be able to graduate.
Yeah, that was about as much fun as it sounds like.
But hey, even if I missed the Wednesday reading meme, I can still make a Friday fic post. Alliteration: yes please.

I’ve finally gotten around to listening to Kendrick Lamar’s “Good Kid, m.a.A.D City,” and I really like it. Great beats and I love his rapping style, especially when it’s higher and more nasal like on “m.a.A.D. City” (the song). It took me a few listens to get used to, but a lot of my favorite artists have unusual voices that I didn’t like at first.

I also love how the album is structured like a memoir, and how it has an almost film-like quality. The subtitle is “a short film by Kendrick Lamar,” and that’s super accurate, because a lot of it is told in snapshots and memories of moments that add together into a story.

Also, I am SO EXCITED for Angel Haze’s “Dirty Gold.” The versions of “No Bueno,” “Initiation,” and “A Tribe Called Red” aren’t even the final cuts, and they are SO GOOD I CAN’T EVEN. This is like waiting for FLAG all over again (okay, not that intense). Also, she was "bored" and rapped over the beat of "New Slaves," and it's literally amazing? Like, this is what happens when you are bored? When I'm bored I reread fics for the tenth time? How are you so great? Like how half of John Darnielle's songs don't make it onto one of his albums when they're something I'd wave in everyone's face like I WROTE THIS ISN'T IT FUCKING AWESOME if I wrote them? I don't understand how this happens.

Still working on my “Glee” WIP. There are wings, it is becoming wingfic, and there is eldritch city that I thought of before I’d even heard Nightvale, and I don’t want to finish Nightvale because I don’t want be unconsciously borrowing anything.

I also have an idea for a Rose/Kanaya fic in which Rose is a Potterhead and Kanaya is a Twihard (kind of) and they meet after Kanaya does some trolling and become friends. Then romance happens. I have some scenes planned out and I basically can’t with them because they are so cute. I’m still having a hard time with Kanaya’s voice/characterization though (new fandom problems?).

What I've been reading in my spare time ~~when I should have been sleeping~~ this week, just in fanfic, because I got a big stack of books in the clearance section the other day but have only read one and it's really interesting, so I'm rereading it and then thinking about it. Two really important concerns:
1. Why am I not Rose Lalonde so I can date Kanaya Maryam OR Kanaya Maryam so I can date Rose Lalonde. This would also be win because either way I would be fucking badass and also awesome PLUS I would have a girlfriend who is fucking badass and also awesome.
2. Why does dreamwidth not let us have more than fifteen icons are they trying to force me to delete that extra one of Blaine as Nightbird in order to make a Homestuck one because I SEE WHAT YOU ARE UP TO I am on to you dreamwidth. DON'T MAKE ME DO THAT. *clutches Blaine-as-Nightbird close to heart*

Also I am still too lazy to post fic (cough JohnDave ficlet) and also too lazy to actually finish any of the six short ones I have started. Don't even talk to me about the multi-chapter one it was supposed to be done by now and it is at 10,000 words and the plot hasn't even started yet at all.
Is there any particular one anyone would care about reading? Maybe that would motivate me to work on one at a time versus trying to write like a million things at once.
In no particular order: Quinntana ft. the Unholy Trinity and Rachel, based off of "This Is What Makes Us Girls," which is almost done and is betaed and everything I need to write like two more scenes, "Summertime Sadness," onesided Wilde Rose in which Kitty writes angsty letters from cheercamp and doesn't send them, "Born to Die" in which Kanaya contacts a version of Rose that's on a doomed timeline, "Young and Beautiful" in which Erica Reyes is being haunted by Laura Hale's ghost, or "Blue Velvet" which is ALL THE QUINNCEDES FLUFF.
And yes they are all totally based off of Lana Del Rey songs/Lana Del Rey covers of songs I'm calling it a series in order to regain my dignity.
