infiniteandsmall I wasn't home to watch this (grrrr) but I did watch all the songs and parts of ep. on Hulu vid, and then I totally hijacked my friend's tablet and watched the Klaine proposal and kickyfeeted all over her bed and refused to tell anyone what I was watching because gay.
But like. As much as I'm like KIDS YOU ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL YOU CRAZY WHIPPERSNAPPERS even though I am in high school, they're just so damn cute together and as much as I'm like "it's fine it's fine I can watch glee when they're not together" now I'm like THE DARK DAYS ARE OVER.
Also so excited for Santana and Demi Lovato oh my god.
And Help! was just the cutest Blaine and Sam please be bros forever. <3
But like. I need to talk about "Yesterday" because I actually cried which is NEVER something I do when I listen to any of Rachel's songs. Like Don't Stop Believin' the reprise I came close, but even that. The emotion in her voice, goddamnit. And it's so weird, because it's this thing--like how I saw someone joking about Tori Amos' husband dying so that she'd write ""good music" again, and how everyone's always saying that Eminem won't be "good" again until he goes back to his Slim Shady persona and "bring back more of the misogyny and homophobia" and how some people on the EA forums are like "lol now that she's happy all her music is gonna be crappy" or "FLAG sucks because she doesn't have anything to write about" and it's not even weird it's just fucking awful.
The homestuck potato: oh my god Dirk that is terrifying but I guess I can't fault him. I can't really think of another option in this scenario besides using his heart-y powers. Dirk Strider: official badass. Also Roxy trying to get the ring for Callie THE BEST SPACE FRIENDS FOREVER Roxy here is my heart. She literally challenged Aranea over the ring like I can't even. ROXY LALONDE THE BEST EVER EVERYONE.
Annnnd now I rant.
A lot of people on MSPA are arguing that Dirk shouldn't have done that, what did Aranea do to deserve it, Roxy why are you so dumb no one cares about Callie the ring obviously belongs to Aranea like. WOW are we just going to ignore that Aranea has brainwashed and is mind-controlling at least two people, killed Jade, and is planning to erase all the alpha and beta kids plus the beta trolls plus a lot of the alpha trolls from existence? And set herself up as a ruler? This is not benevolent she literally thinks letting people talk in her presence is a favor.
And apparently people like Caliborn better than Calliope because "he gets stuff done and doesn't sit around and whine?" The stuff that Caliborn does is basically threaten to kill his sister (and then Callie is bad for "condescending" and "pretending to be sweet" to Caliborn like HE THREATENS TO KILL HER AND HER FRIENDS ALL THE TIME AND ALSO WILL PROBABLY END UP KILLING HER AND TAKING CONTROL OF HER BODY and her plan to make him nicer didn't work so really what else is she supposed to do?) and then be an asshole to Jane?? Oh wow yes keep doing stuff Caliborn even though the majority of the stuff you do is terrifying. And apparently he's trying to "better himself" and "he's the underdog and Callie always has the upper hand and he had to work from the bottom" like idk he was the underdog in that he had to share his sister's body and was chained in a room for thirteen years, which is terrible but. He was always kind of positioned as the stronger of the two, like Callie realized that she wasn't going to wake up and that her brother would win. Also: another sentence I totally do not get: "Caliborn has a soft heart inside and is learning to show it" what that is literally. just. what. I don't care if he was trying to "be nice" in that conversation or any conversation he's in I really dislike him.
Basically I don't understand how Vriska, Aranea and fucking Caliborn can be people's favorite homestuck characters and not even in an I-think-they're-interesting-and-really-fucked-up-but-everyone-in-homestuck-is-kind-of-fucked-up-so-yeah. Like in a "I think they have the moral high ground and are doing the right thing."
