 As happy as I am about the death of DOMA and Prop 8, it meant I had to sit through a sermon about how America is going downhill and gay marriage is child abuse and now I just really want to either sleep or get caught up on Teen Wolf, but I'm still raging.

HOW THE FUCK WOULD MY MARRIAGE BE CHILD ABUSE, HOW WOULD ME BEING HAPPY WITH SOMEONE I LOVE SOMEHOW ABUSE CHILDREN? I DON'T WANT KIDS, IT'S NOT AS THOUGH SOMEHOW BY BEING MARRIED I AM GOING TO MAGICALLY CREATE CHILD ABUSE. And also jesus fuck way to trivialize child abuse. Ah yes, a kid not having a mom AND a dad is the same as, you know, not taking care of children, or actually hurting them, or using religion to make them guilty and afraid and sure they're going to hell, or messing around with them sexually, or denying them an education. I just. How can smart people buy this crap? *kicks a chair*

Also, MTV, please get episodes two and three of Teen Wolf working please and thank you. Also that locker room scene at the start of 3.04 was PERFECT. STILES. SCOTT. DANNY. Have a threesome that's a good way to lose one's virginity amiright?

Thanks. :) It's exhausting to have every victory for equal rights accompanied by this kind of hand-wringing, but it's worth it.
Plenty of handwringing about divorce also, but at least my parents don't mind it as much. They're more realistic and realize that sticking around with an asshole husband or wife is no way to live. Sometimes it makes me think they miiight stop being homophobes but then they open their mouths and nope.
SO BEHIND IN TEEN WOLF OH GOD I was so happy when Glee switched to Thursday because I'm gone at the barn until ten o clock and couldn't watch it, but now Teen Wolf is at the same time as my riding lesson. Sigh. I've watched the premiere and episode four, episodes two and three weren't working on the website. So far it's good, even though I wish there was a little bit more time to figure out group dynamics/characterization between supernatural action, and I'm not really crazy for the twins. But Stiles and Scott and Lydia and Allison are perf, and so are Danny and Isaac and I just want them all to be happy and not die please.

I don't know why I'm posting about this, because I don't want to be the person who has to overshare everything on the internet, but it's nice to get it out, especially since there's no one IRL that I could talk about this stuff with and I just want to get it out and be like HEY THIS STUFF HAPPENS. There's this Thing when you homeschool: you have to be 100% well-adjusted, and dress "cool", and be friendly, but not creepy-friendly, and be knowledgeable of pop culture (which is actually really easy for me because it's what I love), which I kind of want to make a post about but I'm waiting because I don't want to be like, oh yes it is a day ending with y and I am oversharing again.

(Maybe because we get to know each other as personalities rather than jumping to visual-cued assumptions; or maybe because it's a good, safe space to think and talk about things that you don't necessarily want reflected on those around you.)
