I've been missing Blaine and Kurt and the rest a lot lately, which probably sounds weird. It's just that they're such a comforting bunch of voices to have in my head. My multi-chapter Glee fic is kind of on hiatus, if I can even say that since I never even posted any of it and never even finished outlining the whole thing--I intended to get more than halfway through during the summer but what with all the upheaval in the Glee fandom and how there were suddenly all these landmines and tender spots around them in my head I kind of fell off the wagon. While I have been writing a bunch of oneshots, none of them really have much Kurt or Blaine in them, and I miss writing long Glee fic, because sitting down to write is kind of like chatting with them and I miss them.
Oh my goodness CALLIE JADE HOW ARE YOU ALL SO FUCKING ~ADORABLE~ now I ship this also. Callie/Roxy/Jade? But I also like Callie/Roxy/Jane CALLIE.ROXY/JANE/JADE I HAVE HIT UPON THE HOLY GRAIL OF ADORABLE LADIES HELP I'M FLAILING.
Also I'm pretty proud of myself because *knocks on wood* I think I have finished and actually posted a multi-chapter fic?? What is happening to me??? But all I have to write is the last scene and the last chapter is literally ready to be posted on ao3 (right here guys), which hasn't happened in like FOREVER like before I start even posting anything. It's not my fave, but eh, do I get some points for getting it done?
I'm at the stage where I'm ready to start on the next fic, which I'm thinking will be the Rose/Kanaya oneshot I'm already halfway done with, and then I have a few other oneshot ideas. I don't want to try to work on a multichapter while I have a shitton of oneshot ideas because that's how I end up not finishing anything. Still, here's a snippet of the Rose/Kanaya fic I think I mentioned a while back, in which Kanaya and Rose meet on a Harry Potter fanboard. Kanaya is a Twihard, Rose is a Potterhead, Kanaya is the most polite troll and Rose goes to take her down but ends up becoming her friend instead. And then romance happens.

“I do believe,” Rose mutters to herself, leaning close to the screen, “that we have a troll in the house.”
Rose usually does not concern herself with trolls. Doing so only causes unnecessary drama, occasional banning, and a rise in blood pressure. If she occasionally screenshots particularly stupid and infuriating posts and adorns them with charming improvements, such as knitting needles stabbing their avatars and BLUH BLUH BLUHs over their text , who’s to blame her? Besides, she likes the confirmation that she, an amateur, can draw something more sophisticated and amusing than Strider’s “ironically shitty” comics.
However, this.
This is just too fucking much.
There was only one thing to do.
STRIFE (fandomkind).
Rifling through her selection of music, she discards several violin concertos as being simply too gentle for the situation. Even the stirring swelling of strings in Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony does not seem to suffice.
The troll can wait. It is very important to set the right mood, to be swept along on a wave of emotion that would give her takedown of this blasphemer the sheer epic power that made internet legends.
The problem, she decides, is that so far her selections have not been in the right genre. Classical music was proving to be not “rough” and nasty” and “grody” enough. While she is, of course, going to continue using correct grammar and capitalization, she needs something more direct than her usual classy, subtle style of psychoanalysis mixed with slight exasperated common sense and intelligence (yes, she knows, she is simply the best there is).
There was only on thing to do.
“Well I’M BACK IN BLACK
YES I’M
BACK.
IN.
BLACK,” Rose whispers along to the music as she clicks the “reply” button. Rose Lalonde: classy broad extraordi-fucking-naire
I've also been working on a music rec post for listenhere about female rappers. I have a list and a rough outline of some of my favorites and some cool articles and songs, but I haven't really started on the meat of the post. Between working five nights a week and school and trying to actually complete this fic, I've been pretty busy.

Date: 2013-09-23 05:27 am (UTC)*sighs sadly* I understand perfectly. I do miss Kurt's snark and devoted affection, and Blaine's dorky adorableness and optimism.
