Gleeavengers will never get old.
Jan. 8th, 2013 11:50 amI love Blaine Stark and all and I must admit that I spend a lot of my day walking around in a daze thinking of scenarios in which Tony is Blaine's father but.
There is a distinct lack of Blaine Banner in this fandom. ie Blaine as Bruce because dear god it's so perfect and if each member of glee would become an Avenger Blaine would not be Tony. At all. He would be Bruce. Does anyone else see this? I also have no idea which one Kurt would be for some reason I'm coming up with the weird blend of Steve Rogers and Tony Stark. And I can't decide whether Santana or Brittany would be Black Widow, maybe together they would be, because Brittany doesn't have that firm clampdown on her emotions and to be quite honest I don't know if Santana could manipulate in that more complicated, subtle manner. I think she'd start up the screaming and baseball bats first. Hmmm.

Date: 2013-01-11 04:56 am (UTC)I sense one of those What I Learned About X From My Dash photosets would be accurate? I always find them hilariously accurate, especially since I read Supernatural/Sherlock/Teen Wolf fanfic and reblog gifsets and have feels about the characters and have only seen a few episodes of each.
The Avengers movies are all incredible, and I got to see the Avengers being filmed, which was awesome. I don't know which are my favorites, and I'm thinking that choice is going to be harder when Thor 2 and Captain America 2 come out. Plus the rumored Mark-Ruffalo-as-the-Hulk movie PLEASE MOVIE GODS.
No but there are essays and soundtracks and sketches for Blaine Banner I probably need to stop.

Date: 2013-04-18 07:16 am (UTC)I think Kurt would have to be Tony -- he has the sarcasm, the disregard for authority, the assurance that's he's right and more stylish than everyone around him. And beneath it all, a fairly big ol' heart.
What I'd be stuck on is Coulson and Hawkeye. Because quiet but effective could be Mike, so maybe he'd be Coulson. And, hmmm, maybe Sam could be Hawkeye -- not necessarily from the right side of the track, usually stays out of direct confrontation, would look good in the uniform.
Santana, obvs, would be Black Widow. But I'd love them to share that role.

Date: 2013-04-18 07:45 pm (UTC)But Blaine and Bruce have so much in common I would like to add patience, a quiet tendancy towards being overdramatic, and buttloads of unhealthy coping mechanisms.
Also Kurt is so Tony the more I think of it (and Sam is Steve Rodgers). And I can totally imagine him tinkering around with machines the way he tinkers with cars. Imagine Blaine Banner having a hopeless crush on Sam Rodgers because he treats him like he's human and he matters, in the absence of Kurt Stark's brisk, this-is-non-issue, you-turn-into-a-green-rage-monster-let's-roll-with-it acceptance.
Mike as a quiet badass I WANT IT. Maybe Santana as Nick Fury? But I want her and Britt as a spy team CONFLICTED.
I've started thinking of Marley as Hawkeye, because communication, quiet acceptance of the team and being on a team, (plus looking good in a uniform and possibly being part of a Brittany/Santana/Marley sandwich), but I'm not sure. Maybe Quinn as Loki? Puck as Thor? I don't even really ship them but Quinn as a trickster who's lost her way and her home but is going to make the best out of it and take no prisoners and Puck as the strong, good-hearted dude who really just misses her and wants her to come back.

Date: 2013-04-19 03:30 am (UTC)Oh, of course! Sam is totally Steve. Good looks, wholesome, not necessarily the smartest guy in the room but incredibly sweet and loyal and protecting those around him. Absolutely.

Hee. Absolutely.

Oh, that would work.
It's a pity there aren't enough characters to fit everyone in. I'd love to have Mercedes in there somewhere.
Maybe Santana as Nick Fury?
I think Nick Fury would have to be Sue. Scary for the sake of it, but effective. And someone you generally don't want to have to deal with.

Date: 2013-04-23 03:53 am (UTC)Of course Nick Fury is Sue duh.
Tina as Maria Hill? Quiet but gets shit done (and says COULSOOON of course).
Or maybe Mercedes as Rhodey! Kurt Stark's partner-in-non-crime, BFF and certified badass. Emma as Pepper Potts, then, maybe?
Edit: Also, Steve was known to be a tactical genius. Sam's ability to make the macaroni portraits--dyslexic people often have very very good spatial reasoning, which I'm sure helps with tacitical planning.

Date: 2013-04-23 05:13 am (UTC)Okay, Tina as Maria and Mike as Coulson. That works for me so well. Quiet, business-like, and damn effective.

Well, given that Sam used one day with Blaine to organise a food drive and a bunch of teenagers to repaint graffitti, he clearly is a genius when it comes to planning.
What about Mercedes as Pepper Potts? Kind but businesslike, putting up with Kurt Stark's eccentricities and loving him through it all. I NEED MERCEDES IN THERE.

...That is such a hard choice. I really like Mercedes and Kurt as BFFs (almost as much as I like Kurt and Rachel as BFFs... I'm still sort of sad that the show seems to only be able to acknowledge one friendship at a time). I think I'd have to go with Rachel as Pepper Potts -- unexpectedly kind, scarily efficient, and totally able to throw
skanksone-night-stands out of Kurt's mega-mansion without batting an eyelash -- and Mercedes as Rhodey. But that allocation could be argued either way.no subject
Date: 2013-04-25 03:26 pm (UTC)RACHEL AS PEPPER POTTS WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THAT. Kurt and his two BFFs. Rachel and Mercedes as two badasses who are also BFFs who
sometimes make outI mean what.no subject
Date: 2013-04-25 11:37 pm (UTC)Between the three of them, they could build a corporate empire and protect civilization from evil forces. It'd be awesome. And they'd do it with style and drama and an occasional diva hissy fit.
Rachel and Mercedes as two badasses who are also BFFs who sometimes make out
That would be totally fine with me. Totally. Mercedes deserves some love; Rachel deserves... options.
Sam as Captain America and Kurt as Iron Man makes me think about how their relationship would be different in a different verse. Imagine if Sam was the kid his father had idolized, the one that Kurt felt the need to live up to. Would they still be good friends like in a canon?
Absolutely. Because Sam would seem like this perfect cut-out boy, but he'd actually be really cool about the superhero / corporate empire / gay thing. He'd be accepting, and I can't imagine any Burt Hummel who wouldn't adore his boy. (Sure, Kurt ght have grown up thinking that Burt really wanted a Cap'n America type son -- rather than a scarily successful fashionista who can build weapons like no-one's business -- but I'm sure they'd work it out. After all, Kurt felt threatened by Finn coming into his family in canon and they grew to be close.)
Would Kurt resent if Sam and Blaine hung out? Or would he and Sam make up quicker?
I think... hmmm. Kurt would be smart enough to realise that Sam is straight as straight, and therefore he shouldn't be jealous. Plus, I bet you that Blaine would still light up whenever Kurt walked into a room -- and Blaine might like Sam, but they wouldn't be the Science-Bros that Kurt and Blaine would be, so surely Kurt wouldn't resent it. (But Blaine's such a peacemaker. If he realised there was bad blood between any of the group, I'm sure he'd try to help fix it.)
