I've seen a lot of really smart posts about how Sue created a safe space for Santana and Kurt, and now three people who never needed her safe space, Blaine, Sam, and (maybe?) Artie, are trying to take her down.
And I keep coming back to this image, something it reminds me of.
It feels like getting rid of a coping mechanism, one that's harmful but protects you, keeps you alive to fight another day. Kurt and Santana and Rachel have reached a point where they can start to shed those, and maybe (hopefully) McKinley has too..
