infiniteandsmallThis week's been crazy. I've been shadowing at Pony Camp this week, and I'll be teaching in the fall, buuut they've been short volunteers and a lot of the ones we do have are in training, so it's been a lot more hectic than I anticipated.
Plus our annual therapeutic riding benefit is coming up, so everyone is basically batshit, there are big flappy tents in the front so the prancy little Arabian I've been handwalking every day this week for someone who's on vacation has been unhappy, and I know I'm going to be sunburnt because I'm on pony ride detail.
Mr. Prancy Arabian has splints and is double prancy, which is pretty annoying. Also his tail/rear end is rubbed really bad so he looks, as my friend put it, "kind of like a baboon from the back." He's not really my type--I like chiller horses who are a little on the lazy side--and he's not really my sister's, either--she's all for sassy little pony mares or slightly doofy throughbreds--but he's cute. This one girl keeps harassing my sister about it, "Oh, (sister's name) is so happy that someone actually let her walk their horse," "Lol I have Sir Cute Pretty Warmblood and then you have that animal," "Hahaha you're kind of desperate." Not everyone has a cute pretty warmblood can you not. At least everyone else thinks she's kind of an asshole also but seriously she has CROSSED A LINE. Not being able to find a horse to lease is kind of a sore subject with my sister right now and no one is a jerk to my sister. *sisterlyrageasplode*

Also I have almost completed Homestuck! I now have Roxy/Calliope feels and JANE BB and Dirk and Jake and DirkJake and Terezi WHY MUST THIS HAPPEN TO ME?
Also Rose/Kanaya are taking over my brain, and now I am in the stage where I am dipping toes into fanfic waters and trying to discover the must read fics. Anyone have any recs?

Date: 2013-08-02 01:56 am (UTC)I feel so bad for him! His rear end is literally cracked. I keep catching him rubbing his tail more though, so it never heals. And then his leg is all tender and he's just a wreck. How long did you own your arab?
And yeah, she's pretty annoying. I like pretty much everyone at my barn and there isn't much drama, but there's always just those people who rub everyone the wrong way.

I've had three arabs-the first was a welsh cross I had for maybe 6-9 years. Then Echo I only had for 4 years. Elle for maybe 8-9 years. James I had for eleven years.
There's always that one. OTOH, at least there are many that are good to chill with, and the one chick adds some intrest (red *DRAHMAH*)

A lot of my best friends are from the barn, and I can only think of like, three people I can't stand, and no one else can really stand them either, so it works out. Whenever everyone's in a bad mood we can just rag on them and every dumb thing they say. It's pretty funny, actually. xD

I can't with them. I have so many fic ideas but I like to scope out the territory first. It would be awesome if you had any bookmarks lying 'round!
